The Regional Museum of Querétaro is an important historical and cultural site located in the former Convent of San Francisco in the Historic Center of Santiago de Querétaro. Founded in 1936 and managed by the INAH, the museum preserves and exhibits archaeological pieces, artworks, documents, and historical objects that show the development of Querétaro from pre-Hispanic times to the present day. Its exhibition rooms allow visitors to learn about indigenous cultures, the colonial period, the Independence movement, and other important events in Mexican history, while also highlighting its beautiful colonial architecture and cloisters. The cost of the museum is 100 mexican pesos but if your age is less than 13 years old, a student or a teacher it is completely free.
