Iraq is a beautiful country containing a rich and beautiful history. Visit landmarks such as the Al-Kadhimiya Mosque. This mosque was established from 1502 to 1524 and was ornamented by the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent after he conquered Baghdad in 1534. According to research, Mesopotamia ( "Land Between the Rivers ") was the ancient name for the regions that are now Iraq, a region whose enormous alluvial plains gave home to some of the world's earliest civilizations, including Sumer, Akkad, Babylon, and Assyria. This was a wealthy region that included the Fertile Crescent. The Fertile Crescent was the first region in the Middle East which was where the first agriculture settled. Did you know that Iraq was the first country to invent robots? It is also said that Iraq contained some of the very first people to walk on earth. You could have also explored the ancient ruins of Babylon which are now, unfortunately collapsing.
