Andrés immigrated to the United States, working full-time while learning English to enroll in college and pursue his passion for filmmaking. A decade later, his professional career continued as a video journalist creating content for the New York Times, NY Daily News, and NY Post, followed by a seven-year content producer for PR Newswire as their first multilingual content producer.
Andrés was drawn to the early days of XR and drone technology, investing in equipment and courses to learn immersive storytelling. His passion for this space has earned him collaborations with CAA and The Endless Collective creating consumer engagement products, and most recently, as a Head of Production for Virtual Tech Designs. He plans to one day use these technologies to create a feature film.
Andrés’ filmmaking credits include an associate editor for the documentary BLAST! and producer for the upcoming documentary, “How to Power a City.” He won a National Board of Review Award for his documentary short “Leaving Ground Zero '' which also won first prize for the Videomaker magazine’s 2008 short video contest and was screened in CUNY Film Festival and the 2009 Grass Roots Media Conference.
